My Weekend Staycation at The Mandarin Oriental Miami

Last weekend I took a much needed staycation right here in my city at the Mandarin Oriental Miami, located in Brickell Key. My two night staycation began with a mid afternoon Friday check-in. I love Brickell Key, because you get city vibes, but it's away from the main area of Brickell so it's nice and quiet, but still close enough to go out to dinner and explore Brickell. Not to mention, the view from my balcony was beyond incredible. I would live there if I could, haha! My favorite part about my stay was the enormous balcony with gorgeous city views. It was so large it had not one, but two sets of lounge chairs. My junior suite had city views and also endless bay views overlooking Key Biscayne. (Watch my Mandarin Oriental Staycation vlog here.)

When I checked in there was a framed photo of Louie and a Mandarin Oriental doggy collar charm on the desk waiting for him. So adorable! They are a pet friendly hotel, so they also provided a dog bed and food bowls- very convenient. I immediately opened my bottle of rosé and started my weekend by enjoying it out on the balcony.

After watching the sunset in the room, it was dinner time. The hotel had set dinner up for us, and we had dinner at La Mar, the hotel's waterfront Peruvian restaurant. Everything was so delicious. It was mostly a seafood based menu, and since I don't eat seafood, I enjoyed a delicious steak and rice bowl. I also had a super memorable dish of grilled veggies (that included broccolini and asparagus), topped with a delicious semi-spicy sauce. The whole experience was wonderful, I would definitely go back to La Mar.

I enjoyed the man-made beach that over looks the bay over the entire weekend. It was so peaceful and beautiful, I didn't even make it to the hotel's pool, which seemed to be a little busier. I also enjoyed an incredible 80 minute massage in the hotel's spa. This spa was so good, I will be going back as a local. It was a very relaxing experience and they also have a steam room and sauna. I recommend this beautiful hotel to absolutely everyone, locals, tourists, and especially to couples.

My Weekend Staycation In Palm Beach

Last weekend I drove up to the West Palm Beach area for a weekend staycation at the PGA National Resort. The resort was so relaxing and beautiful. I loved the hotel's very pink decor and green palm leaf wallpaper throughout the lobby, giving it modern tropical vibes. Even my room, the premium junior suite, had an adorable pink velvet couch inside. (Watch my Palm Beach Staycation vlog here.)

The hotel is located in Palm Beach Gardens, which is west of Palm Beach, and great for a true staycation. I felt like I was truly on a vacation because of the secluded location. There are a ton of restaurants and shopping areas nearby which is a plus. I even had dinner at Roco's Tacos which was nearby, one of my favorite Florida taco spots, our first night. Of course, I had Louie with me, who is always ready for adventure.

I love the West Palm Beach and Palm Beach areas, so this staycation was much needed. Before I checked into the hotel later in the day on Saturday, I enjoyed an entire afternoon exploring. My first stop: The Square in West Palm Beach. I had lunch at Restoration Hardware, one of my favorite restaurants ever. From their delicious food, to their gorgeous black and white rooftop, and crystal chandelier decor in every corner, how could you not love it? I ran into West Elm to redeem my gift card for this collaboration after lunch, and got the cutest geo stone coasters!

After lunch at RH, I headed across the bridge to my second stop: Palm Beach Island. Palm Beach Island is my absolute favorite because I love visiting the very boujee Worth Ave and it's beautiful European dining and shopping vibes. I have been going to Worth Ave for ten years now, and it gets better each time I visit.

After an hour of exploring and taking pics on Worth Ave, I went to my last stop on my itinerary before checking into the hotel: A tour at Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach. It's basically a home that is completely decorated by multiple designers. Each room is stunning, and staged, and picture perfect. I highly recommend watching my Palm Beach vlog to see this gorgeous home.
