I finally got the chance to visit Philadelphia! I was so excited because I am a big history nerd, and as you know (or may not know), Philadelphia was the nation's first capital while they were building Washington DC. In fact, Louie and I went to Old City, and got to visit Independence Hall, where the Constitution was signed, and the Declaration of Independence. We also visited Benjamin Franklin's grave, one of America's Founding Father's, which was nearby.
I stayed in two totally different hotels, in different parts of the city, getting two unique experiences. The first hotel I stayed at was a super cute boutique hotel located in Rittenhouse Square, Franklin on Rittenhouse. The actual building is historic, but it's been completely revamped inside. Each room is decorated differently. I had a super cute blush toned room. Rittenhouse Square is a high end gorgeous part of the city, which has to be my favorite part of Philadelphia because it also has the most adorable park. Rittenhouse Square Park is straight out of a movie scene, it's so stunning. It is exceptionally beautiful during Autumn when all of the leaves are falling.
The second hotel I stayed at, The Loews Philadelphia, is more modern, and located in Center City, right next to the gorgeous City Hall building. The City Hall building is so absolutely stunning, at 548 feet tall, and was completed in 1901. There is also a statue of William Penn, the founder of the province Pennsylvania in the colonial era.
The Loews is dog friendly, and a great modern hotel with excellent customer service, an amazing gym, and a great restaurant called, Bank & Bourbon, open to the public, that serves an incredible breakfast, and great dinner in the evening.
I absolutely loved my long awaited trip to Philadelphia, and I think Autumn is the perfect time to visit! I also took an uber to The King of Prussia Mall, which is about 35 minutes away. It is one of the largest malls in America, so make sure you check that out on my Youtube channel as well!
