I recently visited one of my favorite Southern California cities, Pasadena last month. Pasadena is located in the San Gabriel Valley, just north east of Downtown LA, and is most known for it's annual Tournament of Roses Parade, and Rose Bowl football Game. In the center, Old Pasadena is a very cute shopping and dining district known for its Victorian and art deco buildings. Fun fact, I used to go there all of the time as a kid since I grew up just a few minutes from Pasadena. Pasadena is definitely a city you need to visit and dine at on your California trip.
I stayed at the very centrally located, Westin Pasadena. The views from my room, the Rose Suite, had stunning mountain views. The pool and pool deck at this hotel has absolutely astonishing with stunning views of City Hall across the street, and the surrounding European-like structures. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pasadena, as it's near Old Town Pasadena, and has lots of restaurants and things to do nearby.
