Summer Vacation At The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman

Two weeks ago I went on a super fun trip to one of the most beautiful places in the world- Grand Cayman! I went with Wendy, my bff from high school of 14 years, and we stayed at the wonderful, Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman, which is located on the famous Seven Mile Beach.

First of all, I would like to mention that the resort is huge and has everything you could possibly need during your stay. From an amazing beach that looks too perfect to be real, to the many pools, (including a kid's water zone), to the wonderful cuisine at the resort's many gourmet restaurants, to the cool art gallery walkway in the middle of the hotel, to the enormous diamonds and jewels glistening in the hotel's jewelry store windows, to the Swiss La Prairie futuristic Spa, or the golf course- there is something for everyone.

You seriously cannot ever find yourself bored at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman, there is literally entertainment around every corner! We had so much fun we didn't even want to leave.

We stayed for three nights, in an Ocean Front Guest Room, with a balcony that overlooked Seven Mile Beach and the Caribbean Sea. Our room was very spacious and had a small living room area, and a large bathroom- the perfect size for two people.

The photos of me above in the red maxi dress are pictures we took right after we checked into the hotel. I was so mesmerized by the crystal clear water, I beelined for the beach, and did a mini photoshoot.

Everyone was so friendly when we arrived at the hotel. We were greeted with delicious rum punch and rum cake. I can't even describe how delicious the run cake is! I actually bought some to take home before I left the resort. It's made right in Grand Cayman- it really doesn't get fresher than that! The rum inside the cake batter actually preserves the cake in the box, so it stays good for up to a year from the packaging date.

I am not sure what was better- the food or the stunning beach. I love a good beach and I love to eat, so these activities definitely made my trip amazing. My favorite restaurant's were the Italian restaurant, Andiamo, and the sushi restaurant, Taikun. I ordered a delicious noodle soup, and teriyaki chicken sushi rolls- which were by far one of the top five things I've ever eaten in my life, it was so unique and tasty!

Every morning we would wake up, and head down to the amazing breakfast buffet at Seven Restaurant. The breakfast buffet has everything from eggs, to potatoes to pancakes, to yogurt and tons of tropical fruit, pastries, and breakfast meats like crispy bacon and sausages.

My favorite part of breakfast were their homemade smoothies (the berry one was my fave!) and the omelette station- oops can't forget about the mimosas! I wanted to mention two extremely friendly and hardworking staff members that took care of Wendy and I each morning and made us feel so welcomed. Rodnel and Dinesh really made sure we had everything we needed during breakfast each morning. I love to give credit where it's due, and they both went above and beyond to make not only us, but all of the guests feel comfortable.

If you're into water sports, the resort offers plenty. Sitting right on Seven Mile Beach, The Ritz-Calrton Grand Cayman, gives guests direct access to it's turquoise water with diving, snorkeling, sailing and kayaking. There are also plenty of tubes, and floating devices all over the beach that are available. Wendy and I had so much fun tanning and being out on the ocean for long periods of time. It was truly one of the most relaxing beach vacations ever.

One of the best things about Grand Cayman are the sunsets. These photos have no filters, and yes, the sky really does look like an orange Creamsicle. The sun going down against the calm ocean water is one of the most therapeutic things to watch.

Another wonderful thing about the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman is it's truly incredible La Prairie Spa. The Swiss spa experts at La Prairie Spa bring their signature treatments, forward-thinking science and rare, pure ingredients to this Grand Cayman resort spa. Facials, massages and body treatments draw from the brand’s expertise in skin science. The spa also features relaxing sanctuaries for Ladies and Gentlemen.

This trip was truly an unforgettable experience full of tons of #RCMemories, and I am so thankful to have had such a great vacation with my best friend Wendy. We had a blast, and the staff at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman made our stay so memorable and enjoyable!

Weekend Getaway At Ocean's Edge Resort and Marina, Key West

When you live in South Florida, it's almost impossible not to visit Key West at some point. Whether you live in South Florida, or you're just visiting, Key West is a beautiful and magical place to visit! Fun fact- Key West is 160 miles from Miami, and it's Southernmost point is just 90 miles from Cuba!

I stayed at the newest & largest luxury Key West property, Ocean's Edge Key West Resort and Marina, which is located in the historic Stock Island quarter, with easy access to old town Key West, Duval Street, a golf course, and their own breathtaking marina.

Ocean's Edge Key West Resort & Marina features 100% ocean views, six amazing pools and an open-air oceanside restaurant and bar.  The resort offers a shuttle to and from the downtown Duval area, complimentary one hour rental of paddleboards and kayaks, bike rentals, and many other exciting activities to get the full Key West escape.

I had an amazing Ocean One Bedroom King Suite that was so beautifully decorated and had a great balcony with an amazing view overlooking the marina. I really enjoyed eating at the resort's waterfront restaurant, Yellowfin Bar and Grill, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's also great that the hotel's cafe, The Oceans Edge Café, proudly serves Starbucks coffee.

After a quick ten minute drive from the resort, you are in downtown Key West and the Duval Street area. I spent time exploring- looking at different historic landmarks, and of course eating and trying different restaurants. Key West is a very small town, but it is a lot of walking, so I recommend bringing comfortable shoes. Also, it's very hot in the Summer, and sun protection is a must always.

I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking to explore Key West in a more relaxing way. This resort is couple, family, and dog friendly. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and they really provide everything you could possibly need. I can't wait to be back!
