MY FRIST TIME IN HOBOKEN WITH THE W

After a week in the city, it was time to discover a new city I have never been to before, Hoboken, New Jersey. I stayed at the W Hoboken. Located right across the Hudson River from Manhattan, the W Hoboken offers the most stunning views of NYC I have ever seen. I didn't know what to expect staying in Hoboken, but it definitely exceeded my expectations, and I absolutely loved it there. The W is beautiful and so accommodating. Hoboken is so beautiful, and full of historic buildings.

The downtown area, where the W Hotel is located is a very cool area with lots of restaurants and shops throughout. I love how the W is right along the beautiful waterfront. The entire island of Manhattan is in view no matter where you look- it's amazing. There is a great walking and bike path along Frank Sinatra Drive, which is the road between the hotel and the Hudson River.

I enjoyed walking Louie in the mornings and late at night especially along the water front. It's so quiet and peaceful at night, and NYC glistens in the background. There is small island-like park, called Pier-C Park, that goes out towards the Hudson via a short bridge.  Naturally, that's where we shot photos. How could you not take photos with the Empire State building in the distance behind you, and the World Trade Center just South of you? It's absolutely stunning

Fun Fact, Frank Sinatra was born in Hoboken in 1915, and that is why the park and street are named after him. I would totally love to live in Hoboken one day and commute to the city via the Holland Tunnel or the very short Ferry ride. It's truly a quiet and beautiful city right outside of busy Manhattan hustle.

NYC IN AUGUST PART II

Staying a full week in NYC requires a Part II travel post. Since I do so much, and take so many photos I wanted to be sure to share everything in detail with you guys. I feel so alive in NYC, I love it! For the second part of our trip we stayed at the super modern, Moxy Hotel Chelsea. I have never stayed in Chelsea before, it was definitely a cool experience, especially being in the center of flower district. Chelsea is known as Manhattan's art district, so our hotel being tucked in the center of the flower market was insanely beautiful. The entire Moxy Hotel Chelsea is full of art and very photogenic.

I absolutely loved that once you walk out of the hotel's very open outdoor lobby, you're immediately greeted with flowers and plants for sale at the nearby vendors. There is a convenient café right downstairs in the lobby that is open to the street also, and overlooks all of the street "gardens". Another favorable part of the hotel, was the upstairs bar. There is also a very popular glass-encased lounge located upstairs on the 35th floor of the Moxy Chelsea called, The Fleur Room, that we were unable to make it to this trip. It has the most stunning views of the nearby Empire State Building, and the city. I will definitely stop by next time!

I finally got to visit Milk Bar (hence all of the cake photos). Their flagship store is located in Chelsea and is walking distance from the Moxy Chelsea. If you know me, you know I absolutely love cake, and will eat it any time of the day, I don't need a special occasion.

I had the pleasure of collaborating with two amazing stores this trip (both located in SoHo). The first store was Gas Bijoux, a jewelry brand with the most beautiful jewelry all made in St Tropez. Walking into their new SoHo location on 128 Mott St, is like you've left NYC and walked into the South of France. I love their natural gemstone jewelry, it's so chic and elegant.

The second store I collaborated with, was one of my favorite brands ever, What Goes Around Comes Around. I visited their flagship store on Wooster in SoHo for the first time, and found my dream Birkin. I was able to shoot and showcase some fun (all on my wish list) handbags for you guys! I am only posting a handful of photos here, but you can see the full What Goes Around Comes Around post on my blog here.

Another unexpected and super fun place I discovered on this trip was the Grand Bar & Salon, located at the gorgeous Soho Grand Hotel. I have never been to this hotel before, so I did not know what to expect. We had the most fantastic time here. The food, the drinks, the vibe, the live DJ, the blue velvet decor against the dark room, everything was so chic, and I highly recommend going here for anyone who wants to have a fun social night out with music and great food. I will definitely be back. In fact, I will be back in NYC this month for my birthday, which I am very excited about. Stay tuned!
