I just got back from celebrating my birthday in Riviera Maya, Mexico a few days ago. Before heading to Mexico, I pre-celebrated my birthday in Miami, a city I've live in for the last fifteen years. I stayed at one of my favorite hotels in Brickell, EAST Miami. I love this hotel because of it's views, rooftop, and it's location. It is also attached to Brickell City Centre mall, which is very convenient.
I went to dinner at the super cute restaurant called Dirty French Steakhouse, located in Brickell. The interior decor at Dirty French is gorgeous. It's a mixture of animal prints, velvets, and palm leaves. The food and service were both excellent, and it is now one of my favorite restaurants. My favorites were the strawberry sundae and triple layer chocolate cake we had for dessert.
Just wow! I am so thankful for another year around the sun. My birthday is September 20th (shoutout to all of the Virgos!!) and I celebrated in both Los Angeles, and Miami Beach. Of course, I filmed a Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills vlog for you guys! Make sure you subscribe to my Youtube channel, where I post new travel vlogs weekly. In LA, I stayed at the Mondrian Los Angeles in WeHo. I've stayed here once before, and it doesn't disappoint.
On my actual birthday, I had an intimate dinner with close friends at one of my favorite new restaurants in Miami, Casadonna. The Italian food is so delicious, and the interior decor is just stunning. It's such a large and beautiful restaurant, I highly recommend it for special occasions, girl's nights, and date nights. I did a mini staycation at the Sls South Beach, and did a much needed beach day. Now, who is ready for Fall content? Because I know I am!
Welcome to Part II of my Birthday in the city! I had the pleasure of staying at The Gansevoort Meatpacking for the first time, and now it's hands down one of my new favorite hotels ever. Everything about my stay was perfect, I actually did not want to leave. My room, my view, the location of the hotel, the staff is so friendly, and they have everything you could possibly need- including a fab rooftop pool.
It was raining most of my three day stay at The Gansevoort, so unfortunately, I didn't get to hang out by the pool, but that's okay because I will one hundred perfect be back. The sunset was bright red every night and overlooks the vibrant part of the city which is called Meatpacking. I had a direct view of the many restaurants below including, Serafina, Restoration Hardware, and it's beautiful rooftop directly across the street, and Soho House. There are also shops across the street including Hermès and Sephora just to name a few.
I had the pleasure of eating at two of my favorite restaurants, Serafina, and Restoration Hardware. My favorite look that I shot this trip, was a stunning red Lady Dior mini handbag from What Goes Around Comes Around with my runway 2013 Valentino clear Rockstud heels, and a beautiful sequin red gown by Alamour The Label. I enjoyed my week in the city, and I can't wait to be back to shoot more looks and just be back in the city in general. I even rode the subway for the very first time ever. (I have been going to NYC for work since 2014, and this was my first time riding the subway- you can see all of this in my vlog on YouTube.)
After this trip, I headed to Miami for a day before boarding my overnight flight to Barcelona. Stay tuned for my Barcelona and European travel posts coming very soon!
