In March I visited Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for the first time. I had been to Mexico many times before, but never the west part of Mexico. Cabo San Lucas is not only incredibly safe and beautiful, but it is located on the Baja California peninsula which is only a two hour and twenty minute flight away from LA.
My first impressions of Cabo were, "wow I love it here already, it's so beautiful", and "the food here is amazing." I stayed in the most gorgeous modern villa in the hills with beautiful scenic views of the mountains, the marina and the ocean. This stunning home had an insane scenic infinity pool that overlooked the ocean, and had twelve bedrooms total. My bedroom was on the main floor, with a glass door that led out to the pool terrace. I truly miss waking up to the Cabo sunrise and watching the sunsets from the vila.
The food in Cabo is incredible, and surprisingly inexpensive. I ate a lot of tacos, rice, guac and chips this trip. I especially loved the beach day clubs, and the shopping area. I highly recommend going to the marina area as well because there are lot of good restaurants that are right on the water, which is great for people watching. Most of the main attractions in Cabo are all walkable, I didn't take an uber at all. We had a car, but honestly I just walked everywhere.
I was there for a week, and on the 6th day of this trip, I stayed at another gorgeous villa that was located directly on the beach located about twenty five minutes north of Cabo San Lucas, called San Jose del Cabo. San Jose del Cabo is definitely the Malibu of Cabo. That beach house was absolutely stunning, you can see for yourself from the photos at the end of this post. The beach villa is so stunning, Ralph Lauren even filmed a commercial there a few years ago. I didn't take many photos there because I truly wanted to enjoy this trip, it was my vacation and this post is not sponsored at all.
Let's just say I am a huge Cabo fan now, and I plan on visiting at least once a year from now on. It's a great vacation spot for couples, families, and even solo trips. Best of all, you can bring your pups! (Just make sure your furry babies vaccinations are up to date). Of course, I didn't get to see everything in one week, that would have been impossible. So for now, see you soon Cabo!
