NYC IN AUGUST PART 1

Before this past trip to NYC last month, I had not been to NYC since right before 2020. This trip to NYC was longggg overdue, I've missed the city! NYC has a special place in my heart. (I have a super amazing surprise coming soon for you guys that I will be announcing on my YouTube, so make sure you're subscribed). This trip was so much fun, I didn't want to leave. We stayed for an entire week. Honestly, staying in NYC for a work trip for an entire week is perfect, because you can get so much done and still have fun.

My first hotel on the Upper West Side, Hotel BelleClaire, was absolutely fantastic! I felt like I lived in the city, it felt like true home. It's so chic, and I love the blue decor inside the rooms and hallways. It had chic apartment vibes, and I will most definitely be back. The Upper West Side is one of my favorite neighborhoods in the city because it's so much calmer than Midtown and Downtown, it's cleaner than most parts of the city, and it's so close to Central Park (Louie and I love Central Park and walked there from the hotel), and it's very close to Fifth Ave, which is a major plus.

There are so many cool restaurants in the area, I like to discover a new one every time I visit. As soon as I landed (I landed in Newark, and got to the hotel in less than 20 minutes during the afternoon on a weekday), I checked in, and walked down the street to an amazing restaurant I've always wanted to try called, Maison Pickle. Now, I don't like pickles, but I've heard they have great ones (photos below), but I can say their menu has such a variety of items, and their food did not disappoint. I highly recommend starting with a refreshing cocktail and their famous butter bread loaf!

This trip was an amazing, life changing, (many life realizations happened during this trip for me), and an overall special trip. I saw NYC in a way I never had this trip. Not to mention, I changed my hair color! I came to to NYC blonde, and am brunette now. I have a very rich dark chocolate brown color, that was done at IGK Salon in SoHo. I wanted a new hair color to go with my new life changes, and Liv at IGK did not disappoint. I was so nervous to do a drastic change, but this was the best decision I could have ever made. I feel like a whole new person. I also feel even more ambitious with this new hairstyle.

I also finally visited the flagship Tiffany & Co store and did my take on Breakfast At Tiffany's, actually eating at Blue Box Café, located on the store's sixth floor. You can read the full post here
