It is now October 25th, and I have been traveling for one month straight. Can you believe that? I've had the best month ever. I started in NYC, then Barcelona, Marseilles, Cannes, Palma De Mallorca, Ibiza, Barcelona again, and recently ending in Miami. I went on an 8 day cruise via Virgin Voyages right after my birthday in NYC and had the trip of a lifetime. First, I spent three days exploring Barcelona, where the cruise left from, and I will cherish those memories forever. I never thought I would fall in love with Barcelona as much as I did, but Barcelona now has my heart. I will be posting multiple travel posts dedicated to my European cruise experience in the next couple of days, so stay tuned and subscribe!
For my birthday I stayed at two very different hotels in the city. The first hotel was in Tribeca, Walker Hotel. I liked the location of this hotel because SoHo and Tribeca are two of my favorite parts of NYC, and Walker Hotel was right in the middle of it all. I also got to finally visit the apartment building where JFK Jr. lived in Tribeca (photos below), because he is my all time celeb crush, and I think him and his overall life is so fascinating.
On my actual birthday I had lunch at Boucherie, and then Louie and I went to Top of The Rock, an observation deck with views of all of NYC located at Rockefeller Center. Louie is quite the traveler, it really is astonishing how many places he has been to, he has no idea how blessed he is haha. It was sooo insanely peaceful and quiet up there, it was an amazing experience. I honestly did not want to leave because the weather was beautiful, the skies were clear, and the views were beyond stunning. It's crazy how quiet it can be so hight up.
I had a very low key birthday dinner this year, at Nobu downtown, one of my favorite restaurants. I love the vibe there, and of course the food and ambience. If you know me, you know every year I have a theme, and a cake. My cake this year was Tiffany & Co. I'm kind of still living through my theme from my Tiffany & Co. photoshoot last month in front of the flagship store. Anyways, City Cakes did such an amazing job on my cake, it was so beautiful I almost did't cut it! Since cake is my weakness, I had to cut it to try my vanilla cake with chocolate frosting. It was delicious!
As I've mentioned before, I love sweets, so I got the chance to collab with one of my favorite candy stores ever, Sugarfina, and picked out a few bags of candy to take home with me. In this case, I took them on my Europe cruise, and the candies did not disappoint. I especially love their sour gummies. On this trip, I finally got to try a restaurant I've always wanted to go to, Olio E Piu. Olio E Piu is Italian cuisine inspired by the simplicity of Neapolitan cuisine, and brings Italian tradition and true sense of Mediterranean liveliness. The restaurant was so beautiful, surrounded by flowers and greenery, and the food was sooo delicious, I am practically drooling now remembering it. It's now one of my top ten favorite restaurants in NYC.
Be sure to read part two of my NYC Birthday trip, to read about the second hotel I stayed at, and why it's now one of my new favorite hotels in the city.
xx
