My Karisma Experience: Mexico

Last week, I had an amazing seven night vacation in Riviera Maya, hosted by Karisma Hotels & Resorts. I had a stunning ocean view suite with a huge wrap around balcony at the Azul Sensatori. The room was so comfortable and had a jacuzzi inside the room, overlooking the ocean. The whole resort was exquisite- it was so hard to leave on the eighth day! With it's beautiful beach, extremely nice staff, seven restaurants, three pools, a life changing spa, and it's Nickelodeon kid-freindly area, I highly recommend The Azul Sensatori to anyone looking for a great Mexico Getaway.

I arrived at The Azul Sensatori in the late afternoon via American Airlines, flying in from Miami. Luckily, the flight was only about two hours. As you can imagine, I was hungry because it was almost dinner time. After being greeted by the super friendly staff and blue champagne, I was escorted to my suite by Benito, a lovely butler at the hotel. I would just like to say that every single staff member at this resort was so friendly and genuinely wanted to be there for each guest at the hotel. This is really an important factor in being able to fully enjoy your vacation. For my first meal, I went to the Mexican restuaurat. What better way to begin your vacation in Mexico, than with yummy authentic Mexican food?!

Tequila shots upon arrival? Why not!

A view of the pier from my balcony.

I made sure to eat fruit everyday because it was so fresh. (Not to mention it made for a perfect picture!)

A personalized robe from the hotel.

On the third day, the hotel provided a private limo by Lomas Travel to go to Tulum for the day. I have always wanted to go to Tulum to see the ruins, and to the see the white sand beaches. After a tour of the ruins, I went down to the beach and it was absoulutely stunning! The water was so clear and warm! After seeing the beach, I went the market area of Tulum, and tried a fish pedicure and took pictures with Ricky Martin the monkey.

Rolled around Mexico in style.

On the phone with someone very important :-p

I am obsessed with the gorgeous beaches of Tulum.

Exploring the Mayan Ruins on a very hot day. This was the priest's house behind me. My amazing tour guide was of Mayan decent, and had such an interesting life story. Like most Mayans, he was born and raised in the jungle. He was raised by his grandparents, and then found his way to Thousand Oaks, California to learn English and live in the United States at a young age. I asked him If he had heard of my favorite restaurant Nobu Malibu, and he said, "Of course!".

I tired the fish pedicure, it was freaky at first. But, It actually didn't bother me after the first thirty seconds.

With the coolest monkey in the world, Ricky Martin.

Ricky Martin loves to eat coconut!

... and he likes to eat it while sitting on your head!

On the fourth day, the hotel provided private transportation, provided by Lomas Travel, to their sister "Adult Only" resort, El Dorado Maroma. El Dorado Maroma is probably one my favorite resorts in the entire world. It was by far one the top five stunning resorts I've ever seen in my life. Being adults only, the whole resort was so quiet and serene. The suites had swim up pools and I even got to see a two floor suite that was basically an apartment!

El Dorado Maroma has "Palafitos" also known as, "Bungalows" over the ocean. These Palafitos will open in September to the public, and are the closet thing you can get to Bora Bora without actually being there on this side of the world. I was lucky enough to get a private tour of one of the finished bungalows. The floors inside were made of glass, so that you can see the water (and fish) right beneath you! They are two levels, and each Palafito has a private deck with it's own hot tub. The Palafitos will be very exclusive when they open. They will even have their own restaurant, that won't be open to the rest of the hotel.

The Palafitos stand on top of the clear Caribbean Sea.

Standing on the private deck of the Palafito. (They are in the process of installing hammocks that will hang off the side of the deck.)

I shot a lot of content for my blog in front of this gorgeous view!

I spent the whole day at the beach, tanning, eating, and enjoying life.

Cheers!

On the sixth day, the hotel provided private transportation, provided by Lomas Travel, to their second sister "Adult Only" resort, El Dorado Royale. El Dorado Royale was also beautiful and so large, they had golf carts to escort the guests around. I had a huge lunch upon arrival, and the then headed to the beach for the day. This hotel had it's own Starbucks across the lobby, that was much appreciated.

FYI: This delicious lunch was only for two people..

Meet José, my coconut.

The beach here was different than any other resort. It was SO stunning and unique with all of the rocks.

On the seventh day, I relaxed at the hotel and got an 80 minute massage. This massage was by far one of the BEST I've ever had in my entire life- I wish it had been two hours long. The spa at Azul Sensatori really caters to the guests, making you feel like you're the only person to exist. I was so incredibly relaxed while entering the massage, because the waiting room process is so relaxing itself.

First, you lay in a curved "bed" with a heating pillow around your neck in your robe, drinking a drink of your choice. The dark room is very serene, with spa music and a private curtain around your "bed." When they call you for your massage, you are already in your own relaxed world. I actually fell asleep a little bit.

I got my hair braided two different times in the salon to try new hair styles for my blog. The ladies at the salon do an amazing job in all of the resorts!

The best way to spend your last night

In paradise.

I had such an amazing stay, It was very hard to say goodbye to paradise. I highly recommend the Karisma Experience to anyone who wants to go on the vacation of a lifetime, and to create memories with a special person. Every corner of each resort is picture perfect. That is probably why there are so many weddings at Karisma Hotels & Resorts. I witnessed seven weddings on the beaches each afternoon, (that's one per day), and I totally understand why so many people
would want to get married on the beaches here. It is truly stunning and picture perfect. Thank you Karisma for the #KarismaExperience!

I can't wait to come back!
