I love Austin

In February I visited Austin, the capital of Texas, for the very first time, and I loved it! I stayed in Downtown Austin at Hotel Zaza Austin. Austin is beautiful and surrounded by three magnificent lakes. Austin is known for its eclectic live-music scene centered around country, blues and rock. I arrived late at night on a Friday, and as soon as I opened my balcony door to the beautiful night skyline from my high rise suite, I was hit with crips air and a mixture of different sounds. Music coming from all venues down below, it was a very cool sound. It actually reminded me of Nashville a little bit, as far as the city being full of live rock music, it was a very cool experience that I was not expecting.

Austin was a little chilly in February, especially at night, but I didn't mind at all, I loved the city vibes. I loved the hotel, it was very artsy, and beautiful, with a spa, and several restaurants. Not to mention a stunning rooftop pool overlooking the city. My morning walks with Louie were beautiful, and I even got to eat brunch poolside when it warmed up. I highly recommend (to anyone in the area), to have dinner or drinks at the hotel's rooftop indoor/outdoor restaurant, Group Therapy. It's a gorgeous modern restaurant with excellent American cuisine.

Being in Austin for about a week, I ventured out of the city, just ten minutes across the bridge, and found a really cute brunch spot called 1417 French. The outdoor patio is a great experience, and I highly recommend going here if you choose to venture out from the city. Just north of Downtown, I explored a very cute outdoor shopping mall, called The Domain. The Domain hosts a ton of restaurants, and every store you could ever imagine including, Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton, and Zara just to name a few.

Another place I absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Austin is having lunch at, Nido at The Loren Hotel. Nido is a modern American restaurant that sits on the beautiful rooftop of The Loren Hotel, with stunning views of Lady Bird Lake. The photos below don't even do it justice, it's magical.  I can't wait to go back to Austin, because this is a city that you just keep going back to. There's so many things I still have to do. Until next time!
