Celebrating my birthday in Mexico

I spent my birthday in Riviera Maya, Mexico in September, and was hosted by the beautiful, Paraiso de la Bonita Resort, A Luxury Collection Resort. The resort was so serene, and absolutely beautiful. Riviera Maya is just 27 minutes away from the Cancun airport. The resort is adults only, and all- inclusive, need I say more? It was an absolute dream birthday trip. Louie, (this was his second time visiting Mexico), my friend Angie, & I stayed for three fabulous nights.

This resort is so large, (they offer a golf cart to pick you up from your room to take you to the main part of the resort), and is the ultimate getaway. I would like to mention that the staff members at this resort are all so incredibly friendly and helpful. From the moment you are welcomed, you feel like you are in vacation mode. If we needed anything, at any time of the day or night, someone was there to help. The service is outstanding, and the cuisine unbelievable.

Offering the best authentic Mexican food, I ate six steak tacos daily (my favorite food besides tamales)with chips and guac for lunch. The passion fruit margaritas were incredible, and just about everything we ordered was some of the best Mexican food I've ever had in my life.

I like to be totally honest in my hotel reviews, so I would like to mention, I am one hundred percent a beach girl, and we were not able to make it to the beach due to the region's current seaweed build up issue on the coast. Of course, that is out of the control of the hotel, it is mother nature. We still enjoyed sitting poolside at the hotel's very large beach side pool. We also had an amazing private plunge pool on our room's terrace that over looks the ocean. Our room was very spacious, and my favorite part was the large open shower and bath tub.

The chefs spoiled us, and delivered custom desserts to the room at least twice a day. All of the desserts at this resort were just so delicious, especially the chocolate cakes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a serene, tropical, beautiful getaway, away from kids, filled with lots of delicious cuisine. I cannot wait to be back!

Pre-Birthday Celebrations in Miami

I just got back from celebrating my birthday in Riviera Maya, Mexico a few days ago. Before heading to Mexico, I pre-celebrated my birthday in Miami, a city I've live in for the last fifteen years. I stayed at one of my favorite hotels in Brickell, EAST Miami. I love this hotel because of it's views, rooftop, and it's location. It is also attached to Brickell City Centre mall, which is very convenient.

I went to dinner at the super cute restaurant called Dirty French Steakhouse, located in Brickell. The interior decor at Dirty French is gorgeous. It's a mixture of animal prints, velvets, and palm leaves. The food and service were both excellent, and it is now one of my favorite restaurants. My favorites were the strawberry sundae and triple layer chocolate cake we had for dessert.

Boston in Autumn

There's just something about Boston. It's a charming city, and it has a little bit of everything. I love the old historic buildings, iconic Newbury Street, and the Seaport District. I recently went on a girl's trip to Boston, and stayed at Hyatt Regency Boston, located in Downtown Boston

It was so nice exploring Boston, the weather is amazing in Autumn. The city views from my suite were absolutely incredible. I even tried the famous Boston cream pie via room service, and it was delicious. The hotel is centrally located, so we were actually able to walk all the way to Newbury Street, and explore along the way. Newbury Street is iconic, and has every designer store and clothing store you can think of. You can also find adorable cafés and restaurants along the way. You can watch my full adventure on my Boston Vlog here.

We also got to check out several restaurants in Boston's Seaport District, including brunch at Serafina Seaport, dinner at Ocean Prime, and a Mediterranean lounge with a great outdoor ambience and sea views called, Marcelino's. I actually really loved the Seaport District, because I love being by the water no matter what city I am in. I can't wait to be back, Boston you were magical!
