Welcome to my Charlotte Travel Blog Part II. Charlotte, North Carolina is the heart of the New South — modern and forward-thinking, while embracing its Southern roots. Since I was in Charlotte visiting my mom for three weeks total, I spent most of my time at her house, just a few minutes north of the Uptown area. I also did a mini staycation at the very modern Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel Charlotte, which is located in the heart of Uptown.
I loved the city views from the floor to ceiling windows in my room. I had a great view of the BB&T Ballpark right next to the hotel. There is an amazing rooftop lounge called, Merchant and Trade that my mom and I loved at the hotel. Even though it was very cold, (I think it was in the high 30s the night we went), we still loved it and thankfully they had heaters.
After a drink upstairs, we went down to the lobby restaurant called Angeline's. Angeline's is an incredible Italian restaurant with some of the best Italian food I've ever had. I'm getting hungry just writing this, the food was that good. In fact, the food was so good, I have absolutely no photos of it, because we devoured it! If you want to see how delicious the pizza and pasta was, you can check it out here in my reels post. I highly recommend this restaurant and rooftop bar for anyone visiting, or living in Charlotte- it's amazing.
This travel post is very special to me because I am sharing photos from my mom's house that I am proud to share here with you guys. She is a very talented artist, and the artwork on her walls are a combo of art she collects, and beautiful paintings that she's painted. She also has a very impressive gemstone jewelry collection that I am obsessed with. Enjoy! (Read Charlotte Part I here.)
