A Day at the Versace Mansion

Last week I spent a day at the Versace Mansion. It's actually called The Villa Casa Casuarina now, but to me it will always be the Versace Mansion. It's now a beautiful boutique hotel with the most stunning bedrooms (all designed by Gianni himself in the 90's), and a fabulous poolside restaurant open to the public called, Giannis. The food is a combination of Italian and Mediterranean cuisines and is exceptional! 

   Whether you're a local, or visiting Miami, I highly recommend a trip to the the former Versace Mansion for lunch, dinner, or to do a staycation. I felt like I had left Miami and gone to Europe while there. Every corner of the mansion is stunning and detailed. If you're a fan of Gianni Versace, or simply have a love for beautiful architecture and style, you will love it here.

 

I even got to visit Gianni Versace's former master bedroom, and yes, you can book his room for your stay. More details below.

Gianni Versace's Room

    Below, are photos from Gianni's room. Almost everything is original except the actual bed, bedding, and you guessed it- the flat screen TV. You can shower in Gianni's former marble shower, or place your clothing and shoes inside his custom closet. 

    What's so amazing about the former Versace Mansion, is that Gianni spent millions renovating his mansion. The home was originally built in 1930, and Gianni bought it in 1992. He thought of absolutely everything when renovating this gigantic mansion. From the hand painted ceilings and walls, to the wall moldings, to the stained glass on the windows, to door knobs, to the furniture. Being in his room was definitely a surreal experience.

 

In this photo, I am sitting in the foyer to Gianni's former room. To my left is Gianni's room, and to my right is another suite that was created for Gianni's boyfriend of fifteen years, Antonio D' Amico, and was used for times when they were not getting along.

Casual Weekend Look: Black x Black

This Fifth & Park printed dress is super cute for Summer! I wanted to style a casual chic look in all black to show how you can wear black during the Summertime. I paired the black halter dress with black gladiator sandals by Schutz and a black Versace crossbody. This look is a great example of how you can wear black during the hot Summer days while still keeping it season appropriate, and most importantly, keeping cool in the hot weather! These awesome sandals are from last Summer, but I've found you guys a similar pair that's on sale by Stuart Weitzman. Shop similar looks that I've picked out at the end of this post! 

White x Pink

 This time of year calls for white denim! I am obsessed with white distressed skinny jeans. They are flattering on every body type and go with absolutely everything. I am wearing a pair of distressed skinny jeans by Rag & Bone. Every denim brand makes a pair, so I have added a few different pairs of white distressed skinny jeans by all different brands at the end of this post. I paired my fav jeans with a gorgeous silk coat by SILK New York. This coat is lightweight and perfect for dressing up your look! I matched the gorgeous pink windowpane checkered print to my hot pink "So Kate" Louboutins. From Day to Night with Nasty Gal

         Hey guys, Happy Monday! It's back to work for many of us, and I wanted to share a chic outfit idea by Nasty Gal that can be worn in the daytime and transformed into a sexy evening look for happy hour. I am absolutely in love with Nasty Gal! They are an LA based clothing retailer and offer the edgiest and sexiest looks. If you want to stand out from the crowd, you need to be a Nasty Gal frequent shopper. They opened their first store on Melrose in Los Angeles, and I am so excited to go see it for the first time next month. 

For the daytime look, I paired the sweater crop top set with Saint Laurent suede ankle booties and a wine colored Givenchy "Antigona" handbag. This look can also be paired with a blazer for a more conservative look. After 5 p.m., you can throw on a chic faux fur coat like this awesome red one also by Nasty Gal. I changed up the booties and put on a pair of Versace "Medusa" pumps and a Saint Laurent "Monogramme" clutch.
